During Ongoing Pandemic, CovCare Keeps Focus On Giving Back With PPE Supplies

Thanks to donated boxes of PPE supplies from CovCare, schools, care centers, hospitals, and community organizations around the country were able to stay protected and safe throughout 2021.

Over the last year, CovCare has once again made it a priority to help give back to those in need of PPE during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

In Louisville, Kentucky, CovCare donated supplies for the "Masks for Kids" initiative which is a partnership between Louisville Metro Government, the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Jefferson County Public Schools, Christopher 2X Game Changers and the YMCA of Greater Louisville. The “Masks for Kids” initiative was created to ensure every child within the community of Lexington were equipped with the masks they need to remain healthy and safe as the Coronavirus and variants surge on.

As credible health experts continue to remind us that masking is one the single most important things we can do to slow the spread of Covid-19, CovCare is helping lead the way in keeping communities protected. While donated masks were distributed to thousands of local children in Louisville to assist with resuming in-person classes amid the pandemic during their 2021 school year, CovCare also worked closely with a number of other schools, care centers, hospitals, and community organizations around the country in donating PPE items.

Bolingbrook Christian Health Center in Bolingbrook, Illinois was able to keep their volunteer nurses protected in their continued fight against Covid-19 after receiving PPE supplies from CovCare including disposable 3-ply masks. Thanks to this generous donation, Bolingbrook Christian Health Center aptly served communities in Illinois and also earned the Gold Award from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) due to their ability to meet national standards for professional health care.

“We are so thankful to CovCare for their donation to us of disposable masks. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) has been a huge increased expenditure for us during the pandemic, and CovCare has stepped up to help,” said Kathy Ridgeway, a Nurse Educator with Bolingbrook Christian Health Center.

CovCare also took part in sending a special delivery of mask donations to Eskaton, a Senior Living facility in California who was desperately in need of PPE to protect both staff members and the elderly at the facility. For over the past 50 years, Eskaton has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults in the Sacramento area and throughout Northern California. It’s with great pleasure that CovCare was able to care for the non-profit senior living and aging service provider.
